16th Aug 2020: Continuing with city farm and other call outs.
Updated: Nov 17, 2020
Shooting of pigeons on city farm continues averaging still about seven each visit. The pigeons have got used to my presence there now so each visit, they are becoming very cautious of coming into my sights. My last visit, i had only one where for a whole hour, they remained away from the farm watching. It is goodnews fo rthe aimals now as they are having all their feed to themselves without the pigeons coming down and taking it from them.
To date, i have shot around 50 pigeons at this location.
I went home to Wales two weekends ago for my monthly trip and also took my gun with me. My sister has horses at a stables where they were inundated with rats. The stables owner agreed for me to go there shooting on my return but changed her mind when i called to say i was going there that evening. So instead, i spent three hours out of my sisters bathroom window waiting on rats in her back garden. She has a quantity of ducks, geese and chickens and the rats have nested under ground on the edges of her garden. In that time only one rat came out and i missed it. It happens.
I attended the city farm again last week and half way through the shoot, my gun jammed. A part had come undone on the rear of the gun and dropped down inside the stock, jamming the cocking lever. Been waiting since to have my gun exchanged for a new one as it is still under warranty. Been promised delivery this sunday and hopefully back shooting for monday.
