We attended our first meet on Monday 15th June in Kent.
Four of our members arrived on site with air rifles at 7pm. Even though we were there to shoot, we were also looking to see where the main activity was around the farm. We laid down more bait at the more obvious routes and got set up around 8pm to start any shooting.
There was various activity throughout the evening but we have a bit more clearing to do, to enable better visual at the busy areas. The rats have chosen those areas specifically due to the cover produced by the long grass and vegetation. Once cleared with a strimmer, it will give us more opportunity in the near future for shooting.
At the end of the evening at 11pm, we called it a night.
We had approximately 14 x rats, 8 crows & 8 pigeons in total. We didnt take any photos as it was pitch black and i had to leave to go to work.
Next meet is this coming Saturday with the dogs at the same premises. Will be recording the event and posting photos and video when complete.
The video above is showing two rats that caught me off guard where they popped out of the corner of the shed. The main activity appear to be from inside the white building on the right where another member was already shooting. The rats were exiting from a hole in the floor inside and emerging in the middle of the two buildings in the video.
